CHALLENGE
Educate the Colorado and Wyoming public on the importance of organ and tissue donation in order to increase organ and tissue registry sign-ups and heighten the understanding of Donor Alliance’s role among stakeholders in the Rocky Mountain region.

EXECUTION
Facilitate media briefings between Donor Alliance representatives and medical/health reporters in Colorado and Wyoming to foster strong relationships and position Donor Alliance as the trusted source for information on organ and tissue donation.

Support major events through planning and media relations to raise awareness of the organization and its mission.

Leverage organ and tissue recipients and donor families to tell their powerful stories about how donation has impacted their lives and illustrate the need for more donors.

RESULTS
LeGrand Hart garnered more than 300 Donor Alliance news stories in the three years working with the organization, including several profile stories for the organization.

LeGrand Hart helped increase organ donor registry sign-ups by three times and tissue donor registries by 21 percent in 2005.
