CHALLENGELeftHand Networks pioneered a market segment that in recent years has become crowded with industry behemoths and emerging storage companies jockeying for the same market position.
LeftHand needed to reestablish itself as an innovator and thought leader before losing share of voice in the marketplace.
EXECUTIONLeGrand Hart embarked on an education campaign to convince the industry that LeftHand’s revolutionary data storage solutions were ready for “prime time” and had moved beyond the “early adopter” phase.
An integrated customer strategy was implemented that included corporate and product milestone announcements, analyst relations, thought-leadership, as well as speaking and awards programs.
Working closely with LeftHand, LeGrand Hart charted a communications course that would propel the company beyond the storage press and into broad IT, as well as enter the dialogue through interactive communication mediums.
LeGrand Hart incorporated interactive tactics (i.e. blogs, RSS feeds and Web forum participation) into the company’s integrated marketing plan.
RESULTSWithin the first year, eight million impressions were garnered at an advertising equivalency of $500,000 with storage and broad IT press, as well as local media.
LeftHand has been featured in leading IT trade publications such as
Computerworld, InformationWeek, eWEEK and
Storage Magazine.
